NFPA CHEMICAL HAZARD LABELS

Provided is a searchable database of both flammable substances and hazardous chemicals and their National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) ratings as designated in NFPA Standard 704.

This is an example of a typical NFPA label. This system uses colors to represent the kind of hazard. When the chemical is selected, its ratings are displayed on this label. Rating numbers are defined here, or by clicking on the diamond.

NFPA List 325M
This list contains the fire hazard properties of more than 1,300 flammable substances (flammable liquids, gases, and volatile solids)

NFPA List 49
This list includes data for approximately 325 commercially significant hazardous chemicals on their health, fire, and reactivity hazards.
